What was the first project you ever stitched?

My first stitching experience was a Dimensions needlepoint kit - 5 x 7, of the sun and moon.

I think it was a stamped cross-stitch.

Probably some stamped cross stitch. I'm still using some dresser scarves with hand stitched embroidery I did about a century ago. Okay, maybe not a century ..... but it was a loooooong time ago.

I was a fool when I started stitching. I chose a bride and groom very detailed piece with pearls. I had 'beginner's luck' and it turned out beautifully and I gave it for a wedding present. :) Back in the day, didn't take pictures or keep track sorry to say.
