This is a recipe I got from my Mother-In-Law and it is much loved in my family. I made this last weekend and Bob and I ate the whole thing over the past week.

Blueberry Buckle
Serves 6 – 8

Mix thoroughly:
¾ C. sugar
¼ C. shortening (I use butter)
1 egg

Stir in:
½ C. milk

From sifter stir in:
2 C. flour
2 tsp. baking power
½ tsp. salt

Blend in 2 C. blueberries and spread in a 9 inch square pan.

Sprinkle top with crumb mixture

Mix together:
½ C. sugar
1/3 C. flour
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ C. soft butter

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 – 35 minutes.

Serve with milk, ice cream or whipped cream

Ohhhhhhhh, does that ever sound yummy. Hmmmmm, wonder if it would work with raspberries. Fresh raspberries are just starting to show up at the markets.
